Classic Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound lean ground beef

1/2 large yellow onion, finely chopped

1 small green bell pepper, chopped

1 cup Francesco Rinaldi Traditional Pasta Sauce

2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

4 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up into small crumbles with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Cook for about 8 minutes, until beef is cooked through and begins to brown. Add onions and peppers and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain fat from skillet.
  2. Stir in pasta sauce, mustard, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. Bring mixture to a
boil and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly, about 10
minutes. Serve on hamburger buns and enjoy.
